Reoccurring CH

Hi lucky I haven't had severe CH for many years. Only the occasional bout.

I was given oxygen,  Steroids etc for a good while 20 yrs ago and the Steroids changed my life.

Now my CH have returned with a vengeance with awful Shadows. So much so I have had to retire.

I am waiting for a Neuro appointment,  but my gp has put me on Amitriptyline is this medication known to work.?

Any advise please.

Hi, I've tried amitriptyline, but they don't really work for CH, as they are an anti depressant, typical GP response really as they don't really understand CH.  Be aware that amitriptyline contain serotonin, which can be a contraindication with sumatriptan injections, if you are taking them, I'd wait for your neurologist appointment and discuss fully with them first.
