Involvement in a conference- Help requested- Possible speaker?

Hi All,

My name is Helen and I am a fellow CCH sufferer. Within the company I work for, we are planning on hosing an international conference which I am helping to organize. This year the theme is 'Be Fearless'

We're looking at the possibility to develop a topic on people with disability and how they overcome their limitations to have successful and fulfilling life, intertwined with our theme of being fearless or overcoming our fears to dream big, aim high and be bold. We are looking for inspirational stories, maybe a discussion or something else.
This will be part of our “Women of Impact conference”. It is focused on developing and advancing professional women in the technology industry along with men in celebration of international women’s day.

Being a CH sufferer I thought that this event would be a prime opportunity to raise awareness on our condition and also show our support.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to join in and be on a panel to discuss your condition, share your wisdom and learning, evolving around the theme of “Be Fearless”?
This opportunity is open to both men and women and will be based in Bedfont Lakes, Feltham on 19th March. I’m not sure if this would be funded yet as I’m still awaiting more information from my company, I just need to see if there is any interest at the moment.

Please reach out to me direct with any questions or queries,

Many Thanks,

Helen Woodward

Hi Helen

I see from Facebook that Peter May is referring this to the trustees.  I'd love to volunteer but I may be on holiday on March 19th.

'Be Fearless'

Thats the trouble with CCH you go anywhere the next attack is always in your mind. Where can I go to take my jab or o2 going anywhere new always have to "case the place" so that in an event of an attack you can be a discrete as possible.

I am not local anymore but bedfont lakes know it well as a young lad would go sailing there when it was just filled in gravel pits and no buildings.

Like most of us here we have had sessions of CBT via the pain clinics they talk a good job but in reality it does not work as during clusters there is too much pain.

Thanks Val, I've emailed info@ouch today and am awaiting a reply.

Duetto- I know what you mean, its forever the worry of when you will get an attack, whether you can get away and inject in peace etc.
