sickness dismissal

Hi, after 16 years in my job, 10 with episodic CH, now have been diagnosed chronic and have been through the various stages of absence procedure this year. Now have a final meeting tomorrow and I am told they have the option of sickness dismissal with 3 months pay. Any ideahs on this? Some say think myself lucky, others that this is nonsense! Many thanks, Kelsey

Surely your occupational health department could help you? Also you should come under the disability at work, as your ch would be a physical/ mental problem that affects your day to day working?

have a look at this page: https://www.gov.uk/rights-disabled-person/employment

An employer has to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to avoid you being put at a disadvantage compared to non-disabled people in the workplace. For example, adjusting your working hours or providing you with a special piece of equipment to help you do the job.
