SAD NEWS

We are terribly saddened to share the news that Vicky Quarshie, Headache Specialist Nurse at Hull Royal Infirmary, passed away yesterday morning, surrounded by her loving family. Vicky was a member of the BASH council, a founder of the UK Headache Specialist Nurses Group and a Trustee of Park Street Performing Arts Centre where she helped many young people to gain confidence and become performers. She was a great champion of OUCH and was chosen for our Les Charlton Award last year. I had the great pleasure to present her with the award in November during a show she arranged at Park Street to raise funds for OUCH. Even while she was ill, Vicky was planning what she was going to do next for us. She was such a kind and generous lady and will be missed by many. On behalf of our Board of Trustees and Officers, we offer our deepest sympathy to Vicky's loved ones, her friends, students and patients. Dorothy
