A year ago today, OUCH lost a brilliant chairman when Mike Pollock passed away. He did everything and anything he could to help fellow sufferers, was totally selfless and a true gentleman. The world is a sadder place without him.

He was a one off Val. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I don't know how he managed to fit in all the phone calls he made to help sufferers - they were not short calls. Ever. I miss his voice, his mischievous laughter (that smile!) and his enthusiasm. He deserved a medal as big as a frying pan but he is bright in the memories of every person who was fortunate enough to have met him. I am proud that not only did I receive bags of help and advice from him, I was also lucky to have been counted as one of his friends. Miss you Mike.
