A MARATHON WITH A DIFFERENCE JULY 2021

A Marathon with a Difference! 21st July 2021. OUCH (UK) member, Brian Clark, has suffered CCH for more than 20 years and plans to kayak the length of Loch Lomond in July to give back to the two charities who helped him to cope with this debilitating condition. Any funds raised will be split between OUCH (UK) and SAMH, the Scottish Association for Mental Health. We wish you all the best with it, Brian and many thanks to you. Every penny raised helps to keep our vital advice line going, our website up to date and enables us to carry on printing awareness material  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BrianClark15

Chronic Cluster Headache warrior, Brian Clark, father to trustee, Jason Clark, has completed a marathon with a difference. He had to change his planned route due to the vast amount of algae (blue and green), along with some kind of water parasite. He decided to do the marathon on open water instead of Loch Lomond which he completed at the weekend. His 20.2K marathon kayak was in aid of OUCH UK and SAMH. He paddled from Portencross, to Little Cumbrae South, up the west side over to Bute, back over to Little Cumbrae North, over to Millport, Cumbrae, back over to the West side of Little Cumbrae, and back home to Portencross! This, with his paddle the previous day from Lunderston Bay to Dunoon, over to Lunderston Bay (17.5k), completed Brian's marathon with a difference. Many thanks to Brian and his supporters. We are grateful for every penny raised. You can still donate via Brian's fundraising page. https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BrianClark15
