Indomethacin
Hi All,
Recently diagnosed with CH or similar,
Been perscribed Indomethacin,
I went to open new pack today to find i am out!!
My question is tthis, do they casuse any negative withdrawls,
or would i be ok till monday when i see tthe doc.
Also going forward, i think i read on this site?? that, you can carry a card or some identiy which would allow you to go to a chemist and get what you need??? Or am i having a funny 5 minutes? I appreciate greater vigilance on my part is required, however, my brains not always with it.
Any help/guidance gratefully received

There shouldn't be any health risk stopping indomethacin, you are advised in the pamphlet with the drug to stop if you experience certain side effects.
You did read the pamphlet?
However, indomethacin is for hemicrania continua, it doesn't work for cluster headaches. Professionals use the drug to identify HC, so your doctor may need to start the prescription again.

Not taking the Indomethacin for a couple of days will not make any difference unless you have either Paroxysmal Hemicrania or Hemicrania Continua. Doctors will often try you on the Indo to rule these two conditions out.
OUCH does have a card that you can show people if you are having an attack so they understand that you need time and space to medicate yourself.
