Getting Oxygen

Hi all

having a nightmare getting some oxygen.

GP says the neurologist needs to do it, so saw one and they say they can't do it as it must be the GP any one else had this.

he also said because I smoke I might not be able to have it? Anyone else had this?

when I was in St Lucia I managed to get a 2000L bottle which worked very well for me, so I know it's worth having.

thanks

tim

remember in the worst case scenario ring 999 an ambulance will attend and provide oxygen till your cluster clears, [remind them non rebreathable mask and flow 15, & use for ten mins after cluster goes] they will not need to cart you off to hosp just traet you at the scene.

I used it once a while back, the ambulance crew said they dealt with people with cluster attacks before and caught short with no oxygen.

Hi Tim,

GP's can sort out the Oxygen for you unless you live in Scotland when it is the Neuro only that can get you oxygen. We have a clinically correct partly filled out HOOF (Home Oxygen Order Form) on this website in the downloads section that you could take to your GP and all he will have to do is fill out your name and address and his.

All the best with this Tim

Liz
