East of Scotland Meeting (Kirkcaldy) 20th July 2014

Meeting at Kirkcaldy Victoria Hospital. Speakers on CH and management, workshops. Trustees and helpline volunteers present. Merchandise available. Open to all to attend

Not only are the Commonwealth Games coming to Scotland this year in Glasgow, OUCH (UK) is coming to Scotland but we are heading to Kirkcaldy!

Our next regional meeting will be on July 20th at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. Tickets are £12.50 each [£6.00 for children, but please bear in mind this is a long day for young children]. The ticket costs are subsidised by OUCH so that as many people as possible are able to attend. Cost includes conference pack, tea/coffee and a buffet lunch.

Dr Alok Tyagi, clinical lead of the headache group at the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow,  Dr Anish Bahra of the headache group at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square, London and Dr Giorgio Lambru who  is a consultant neurologist  St Thomas', specialising in headaches and neurology are all confirmed as speakers!

There will also be presentations from sufferers/supporters as well as the popular workshops – longer sessions this time so everyone gets a chance to ask a question or contribute to the discussion. There will be breaks during the morning and afternoon sessions and a long break at lunch where newcomers can meet and talk to other sufferers and supporters, still a major part of the day for those who are newly diagnosed and who have probably never spoken to another sufferer. You can also talk to a trustee or helpline volunteer.
