Hello there,
As you probably know there is a programme of switching people across from DLA to PIP. When it is your turn you will be assessed under the PIP rules and regulations which are different to DLA. People only have a chance of qualifying for PIP is their health condition affects them on more than 50% of the days of the year; it then depends how the person is affected by their health condition regarding the 12 PIP activities as to how many points they get and whether these add up to enough to qualify.
Benefits for CHers (and of course HC, SUNCT etc) has become a bit of a passion of mine, particularly because it is not easy to present these conditions within the forms supplied by the DWP. I now understand much more about how to do this having been involved in a few cases.
When you get notified that it is your turn to be assessed for PIP please feel free to send me a private message if you want, I am happy to share my experience with you.
