Dealing with your work

Hello

I am an old member with a new login (couldn't remember my old one as it has been a while, thought it was about time I got a new membership).

I was wondering how my fellow supporters deal with their own work at times when the person they are supporting are suffering? Particularly on days where you may not have had a lot of sleep (for obvious reasons) and you are not in tip top condition, not to mention worried, stressed etc.

I have been told that lack of sleep is not sufficient to miss time off work or work from home (apparently I should try having children!).

It is very rare that such a situation arises but we all have bad days where "just getting on with it" is all that easy!

Any advice?
