Capability For Work ( ESA Support Group )

Hello,

Unfortunately its been quite a few bad past weeks/months with all thats been happening with in the world and the UK.

Its puts my illness into perspective with all the poor people that have caught this terrible Covid 19 Virus and passed, my question seems very unimportant really.

I have been in reciept of ESA and in the support group, i suffer from chronic cluster headaches and have read that since 2017 anyone with a limited capability for work will no longer need to be reassessed if you have a severe, lifelong disability or health condition. Are unlikely to ever move into work

Is this the case with cluster headaches as the DWP have just sent me a Capability for Work questionnaire and last week a new PIP claim form as mine ends this June 2020.

All this has really affected my mental health as i also suffer from anxiety and depression,

Kindest Regards,

Neil

Hello Neil,

i to am a chronic cluster headache sufferer who has just applied for ESA. It's the first time in my adult life I've asked for any kind of benefit, so I Understand when you talk of how it can affect your mental health, even though I'm at the other end of where you are in a way, so I just wanted to say I hope it works out for you.

best wishes

Jason
