Employment

I have a bit of a dilemma:

After seeing the last neurologist about 7 years ago, I now get as many sumatriptan injections as a sick-note covers, so I no longer need to go in with crayons and hand puppets to explain cluster headaches to those 'Medical Professionals'.

So, good result.

I'm currently unemployed and have decided, after 40 odd years of ECH, to only seek employment in environments that don't have significant triggers for when I'm in bout. This also includes things like working with food, where sweating profusely would be unhygienic, as I'm triggered by warmth.

I've battled CH attacks with cold: Fans, cold showers and a cool home environment to such a degree, I now sweat out of bout at room temperature when out-and-about. (This could also be my advanced age and social anxiety)

The problem is, I now need a fit-note to cover my custom symptoms.

I can't imagine a sick note that goes into triggers while in-bout, especially from a doctor's surgery who's most up-to-date info is a pamphlet that lists methysergide as a prophylactic. XD

Do we still have employment advisors?

Thanks Colin.

I managed to get a fit note with some triggers to avoid, for 3 months...

I'm sure that number will come in handy soon.
