New Sufferer Questions

Dear all,

Thanks for all your help in advance.  I was recently diagnosed with CH.

My last bout I took Imgram nasel spray and within a few days they had gone.  However they have recently come back...

I understand you're not meant to take more than 2 Imigran sprays within 24 hours - do you all abide by this rule?

Also how long can you take the sprays for?  I'm coming into my fourth week and they're getting worse not better.  I'm yet to try the injections as my GP said they werent available but I have since read on this forum about an alternative so hoping to try this soon.

Also I get the terrible toothache along with the migraine -  does anyone else?

Sorry for the basic questions - I'm just getting up to speed!

Cheers,

Ben

Welcome but so sorry you have to be here. Why don't you give our helpline a ring and have a chat? You do need to be referred to a headache specialist neurologist and the helpliners can tell you which one is closest to you. Any triptan is no more than two in 24 hours. As for toothache...many of our members, including me, had perfect teeth extracted in a bid to end the pain. It often feels that the pain is connected to the teeth but the trigeminal nerve is a tricky customer. Do ring the helpline and also browse through our downloads for more information.
