Hi I am in desperate need of ouch's help I have been refuse PIP yet again and now I have to go through with a tribunal. I suffer ECH and sever nerve pain in my right arm due to a disc. I was sent to a local physio for my assignment . When the woman sat down. I asked her what medical background she had because my own GP need to bring himself up to speed. On the reconsideration she keeps referring to me in a well state, I kept eye contact, spoke clearly, I drove to assesment, that I walk no problem. I want to scream at her that i was well when I saw her,

I would suggest a co uple of things to help, you could contact The Brain Charity who assist sufferers of all neurological diseases throughout the UK and many of our members have had help from them with benefits, housing benefit, employment issues, re-training etc. www.thebraincharity.org.uk and ask to speak to the adviser who deals with PIP claims. The Citizen's Advice Bureau can also assist, and also your MP. Whether you have a new one [after the election] or the same as before, they may be glad of an opportunity to take up a cause for a constituent. Mine did and although I had applied for Tribunal, following representations from my MP the DWP changed their decision and there was no need to go to Tribunal.

hi lisa, its normal to be assesed by someone that dose not know about ch, dont worry, ask dwp for a copy of the assesment report, this is what the dwp base the decission on and what you will be fighting, we have a variable condition and yes we have good days, we also have more than 50%of the days we suffer thats why we claim in the first place, you should request a mandotory reconcidderation, you have a month from the date of the letter, can you find any group like fight back to represent you in your area? unfortunutly i cant cut an paste or drag drop any of my pip info or files lincs ect on this fourm, can or do you use ouch faceache? i can and will be able to give you more info that way,, its realy frustrating i cant get the info to you this way,, im darren hamilton fb, look for from hull blue lightning strom pickture, i will help best i can d

Hi Darren I'm sorry I have only just seen this. I am now 31 weeks in and no tribunal as yet. Pip haven't even bothered to send my pack to the tribunal service. I will add u on FB if that's ok x

Go with Val's advice as she is a diamond. Also Look at PIP Regulation 4(a) 'Reliability". It applies to all CCH/CH Sufferers. Can any of you 'reliably' walk 25m on a pavement of a busy road whilst having a CH ? Can any of you 'reliably' drive a car when having a CH ? Personally, I can't do anything reliably when having a CH. The reliability criteria is a game changer if you do find yourself in the position of going to tribunal. Please Google PIP Regulations and read them thoroughly as other headings may apply to some of you also. PIP Regulations have to be adhered to by your assessor.
