NEIL BOAST'S CANOE MARATHON EASTER SATURDAY 15th APRIL 2017
Please give your support to these two bravehearts who will be taking part in a canoe marathon on Saturday in aid of OUCH (UK). The race sounds gruelling to say the least! Neil is an oxygen engineer for BOC and wants to help his cluster headache patients as much as he can and Tim is ready and willing to come along for the ride - and what a ride! Read about it below:

Here's a couple of great photos of our canoe marathon heroes Neil and Tim.
Tim hit his head going under a low bridge and had to have stitches after the race. They put themselves through such a gruelling 24 hours that they hurt everywhere but Neil said not as much pain as a cluster headache. Working for BOC he understands what CH sufferers go through.

CANOEING EVEREST EASTER MARATHON UPDATE
The update today from Neil was that he and Tim are still recovering but very glad that they made it through to the end. It was very tough but he said that their pain only lasted 24 hours... (Neil is very aware and compassionate about cluster headache pain!) Neil was hoping to raise funds for OUCH but apart from that the awareness he raises about the condition on a daily basis is priceless. He said he is so passionate about getting CH's known about because so many in the medical profession don't know about the condition. It was a very gruelling event and Tim is still suffering the effects of banging his head when they went under a low bridge but is now recovering at home. Neil has taken some leave to recover.Talk about suffering for the cause! Well done the pair of you and many thanks to you both for accepting your pain with such good grace on our behalf!

Take a look at this film of the Devizes to Westminster canoe marathon. It's well worth viewing to see what Neil and Tim did to raise funds and awareness to support our cause. Neil sees cluster headache sufferers on a daily basis as one of our oxygen heroes and he said that at least the pain they endured during the race would go away while ours doesn't. We really appreciate that Neil and Tim.
