WCA form.

 
Hello fellow clusterheads. I hope the  humid weather is being kind to you all.
 
Well it finally happened – I got 'made redundant' a couple of weeks ago. I'm certain that I got the chop because of my CH but I cant prove it.
 
So I'm now faced with an ESA claim. Having made the call last week, 3 letters arrived today. One said Ineligible  as I had too much money coming in (??), one said that I would get £40pw as I have a small Industrial injuries benefit of £33pw which has been taken into account. In the last couple of days, my final pay has gone into the account, so at the moment I have more than £6k, so presumably the ESA will be reduced even further. The third letter was the WCA form. I know its important to put the 'right' answers down but I havent a clue where to start. On my worst days I cant do some of the descriptors, but in remission periods I'm fine. At the moment I'm in a remission so can just about tackle it, but I'm dreading an attack and then being unable to do it within the timescales. 
 I have spent half the day on hold to CAB, only for my phone credit to run out before anyone answered! All the advice centres are a train ride away and only open for a couple of hours on a Monday. Someone said that I should claim contribution-based rather than income based, but I dont understand the implications of this.
Any advice would be appreciated.
