Staying strong
Have any of you ever been stopped from doing what u love due to ur ch ??
I have recently been told I'm a risk to children and have been called into attend a safeguarding meeting in my voluntary position with children which I have been doing for 13 years told I have to have a plus 1 and recieved a email stating I'm banned from participating until further notice
My world fell apart ..
What would you do ??

That's so sad. The fact it is a voluntary position means you have very few rights which you would have if you were employed. Are you a member of an organisation for volunteers working with children, they may be able to offer some advice. Have the organisation you volunteer for stated exactly why you constitute a risk to children? You might also want to look at the Disability Rights Commission website, as the organisation may be discriminating against you because of your CH which is a disability. Did you have CH when you started volunteering? There are many questions and it may be Disability Rights would be the best help.

Just can't wait to finally meet someone like me !!
Been holding my position for 13 years
They believe I need a plus 1 to look after me
they are jumping assumptions that the imigran is adrenaline and a lot of they think and they think but I have never ever recieved a ban for i think ever in my life just it's all a lot to take in all at once

Have you considered coming to our conference in Plymouth, Derriford Hospital on 4th November? You'd meet other sufferers there and the experts. It's just the best thing when you meet other sufferers for the first time. Lifelong friends are often made at these meetings.
