Have any of you ever experienced what sounds like explosions inside your head between the ears sudden and short in duration while either falling asleep or waking up ?
Hi D hope alls well with you long time no see. Not had any repeat of the banging sound thankfully. It occurred twice while i stayed over at my mum's when i went over to have a sleep test done at a local hospital. So far not had any major headaches cluster or migraine types maybe just a slight burn now and then but subsides pretty quickly so I'm pleased that i seem to have achieved being headache free for the time being.
hi thats good to hear, im getting back on my feet had bit of long bout, hopefuly your getting some rest and the road works have finnished, if you get your ibs sorted youll have a good year at last, glad things on the up for you d
Not sure at the moment i even have ibs rather copd and possible sleep apnea so sleeps some what scattered if not elusive. Hopefully will get some more investigations into the whole thing and some sort of rehabilitation under way. Some good news though D which I know you will be pleased to hear is that i finally have my holiday to Durban booked. Will make sure i get them photos taken ☺☺And to the adorable misskittymouse I've not had any repeat of the exploding head syndrome not sure what that was though glad i wasn't playing one of my xbox 360 shooters at the time or i would have thought i was being shot lol hope alls well with all of you.

HI,
Yes I get this occasionally- sounds like a gun going off.
Its a condition called "Exploding Head Syndrome" (Really!!).
Its harmless, and nobody knows what causes it!
Helpfully Yours
