Redundancy
Redundancy
I was hauled in to the office last week and was told that mine was one of four jobs that was 'at risk' of redundancy due to funding cuts.
As the only full-time staff, I know that mine is the highest salary. Add to that I have had 200 days off sick in the last year, I feel that the target is well and truly on my back.
I know that disability-related absence is not supposed to be used against me, but how can I ensure that a fair process is applied to me. A a recent absence meeting, it was hinted that I might be better off not working.

Contact Jason Clark on rights@ ouchuk. org [without the spaces], he can probably advise on your rights as a disabled person.
That is hard to deal with, as if CH wasn't bad enough.
You might also find the ACAS helpline useful: 0300 123 1100. They give free impartial and confidential advice on these kind of employment issues.

Thanks Harriet,
What really cheesed me off is that I had just returned from a 2 week unpaid absence (to help me get through emotional stuff without triggering further absence managent) and to immediately be given this news made it a complete waste of time.

Yes, it is as if you are damned if you do, damned if you don't, or just plain damned!
