Petition Ian Duncan Smith Re Chronic Headaches

Hi Folks,

You may be interested in this petition to have Chronic and Hemiplegic migraines classed as a disability for ESA and PIP claims.

You may suffer, know someone who suffers or just think its a worthwhile campaign. When I'm not in a cluster I get severe chronic migraines so have put my signature to it.

For anyone taken off benefits and forced into work yes or looking at pictures of his bald slap head brings on a nauseous feeling which triggers some chronic headaches Smile

I came across the petition quite by accident whilst I was looking at info on the ESA to JSA statistics. 90 people a day die after being found fit for work which, if taken at face value, is a shocking statistic (the DWP of course say there is no correlation).

I am still looking for my different view.  In yesterdays free paper there were some 'day trips by coach to the seaside', which I rather fancy. I like the idea of a flask of tea, some cheese and pickle sarnies and a tartan blanket for my knees incase it gets a bit nippy!

Helloooo

Hot head? Tell me about it.

Have you tried using a MigraCap? Just do a quick Googly to find it.

It is basically a little beanie hat    that has gel bags sewn into it. You pop it in the fridge (actually I put mine in the freezer as I need 1 degree above absolute zero) and then, when the brain feels like its doused with sheets of napalm, you just pop it on and reeelax.

It is ridiculously expensive for what it is (about £35) BUT I find that it does help quite a bit. I got one because I havent got enough hands to hold bags of frozen peas against all of my sore spots. It has got a little flap on the front that covers and cools the eyes as well.

You look a bit of a nana wearing it, but do we care..??

You guys are making me laugh..... IDS syndrome, nasty.

Never heard of a migracap, but have just bought one on amazon this minute for Pete to try. Also recently bought this for him, he finds it good until he reaches 9/10 on the Kip scale, at which point every tiny sound or air movement is unbearable; soothing on the way back down the other side too.

I like the look of that fan. When I'm awake at 4.12am (precisely), the same temperature and colour as a boiled lobster, I'm currenly sponging myself down with a damp cloth. The fan seems much more  civilzed!

I had a bully of a boss a few years back who liked to haul me into his office for a dressing down every time I was off with another 'headache'.

He was a miserable B*** and clearly suffered from Irritable Growl Syndrome. |(

Hohohoho!
