Awesome! Pain Warriors.... I like that concept. How desperately sad they lost their son. The more I talk to people with CH the more I realise how desperately credibility for the condition needs to be acheived. The misunderstanding sufferers experience could be described as 'adding insult to injury' but I think 'adding outrageous abuse to extreme trauma' describes it better!

"Quality of Pain

Almost 85 percent of the responders stated their cluster headache pain was sharp, with nearly half reporting that their cluster headache could also be throbbing or pressure-like."

Missed an important point there.

Thanks for posting this, interesting and provides a glimmer of hope that one day there might be another medication option for those currently found to be medically intractible to try out....

A Chiropractor. Practice based on theories from 1888. No references to actual published data. He refers constantly to the brain stem "black box" without any hint as to what this organ might be, but if you pat it, like his cat, it gets angry.

I'd like to see the work he does when he goes to growed up school.

I can second this.

I have been having Botox for 18 months now - I had a fight to get it on the NHS - but it has helped to reduce my overall 'headache' situation (I have chronic migraines as well). I cant say that it has been a complete cure for me but I'm glad that I have the treatment every 3 months.

This is an interesting article. If more celebrity sufferers made themselves known perhaps it would help our cause.

I have not had Botox up the nose, just in the external trigger points (temple, forehead, back of head, neck etc). I'm due for my next session in a month so I will mention this to the consultant and see what she has to say about it. If I have it done I will report back. (It does sound a bit less vicious than sticking a Scotch Bonnet up the nose)!.
