Neurologist

Hi, I've finally got my doc to give me a referral to see a neurologist.  I've been told that I will need to see a neuro within my nhs area, Highland.  Once I see the neuro only then will he/she be able to refer me to a headache specialist which for me would be Aberdeen or Glasgow.  This process will take twice as long before I'm diagnosed and get on the right medication.  Has anyone else gone through this process or can offer advice please?  Thank you!

Alok Tyagi in Glasgow is the one to see. Please ring the advice line and they will take you through the process.

Thanks Colin, but it's my gp who's saying that I first need to see a neuro within the Highland region and then up to that neuro whether he/she wants to refer me to a headache specialist....I'll call advice line in the morning, thanks again
