Hi Karl

Frova usually makes for a smooth journey if you take one tablet an hour before boarding a flight. It stays in your body for 26 hours and although it may not work for everyone, many a holiday has been saved by it. You could give it a try at home before you go away and see how it works for you. If you get during the night attacks, maybe take one before bedtime to see if you have a good night's sleep. Take care though, not to use it for too long as the more often you take it, the less effective it becomes but it's good for short term use. As with all triptans, no more than two to be taken in 24 hours.

Hope this helps. Happy holidays!

Thank you for your help, I will give it a go. CH is a new condition for me, having only started in Feb, and luckily enough (especialy after reading this forum) was diagnosed by my GP on my first visit with a nero apointment only 4 weeks later, medication I am now on is helping of I am coming out of a cycle, but as its new I dont know how I am effected as yet over a time all I know is I wish I did not have this condition at all, especialy as its quite hard for other to understand what you are going through.

What treatment are you on, Karl? You'll need oxygen in place and I'm sure if you've been reading up on it, you already know the standard is 02 and sumatriptan injections. Is your neuro a headache specialist? It may be worth giving our helpline a ring as they could advise you on that and generally go through things with you. I know it's daunting to have this condition but one thing's for sure - clusterheads know how to have a great time when out of cycle! We make the most of every pain free minute...

All the best
