Hi,
I have been suffering CCH and CDH for about a year and a half. The CCH are well controlled currently with verapamil and oxygen but I am still suffering daily with the CDH.
I have found myself struggling with anxiety/depression for the last few months due to the constant pain and being off work but have got a new symptom that could be either the anxiety or the headaches. Has anyone else had a metallic smell in the nose? It may sound silly as it's just a smell but it is really bothering me as to what is causing it, it has only been the last few days. It feels like I am going crazy as there is nothing around me that smells metallic.

Firstly, we are not doctors we cannot diagnose or prescribe, but I've not heard of a metallic smell being a symptom of cluster headache. I use oxygen and I sometimes can smell the 'rubbery' smell of the mask and tubing, but can't say I have experienced any other smell. I'd get it checked out as it may indicate another illness of some sort.

As Val has said it might be a good idea to get this checked out, hopefully it is something of nothing, but as far as we are aware it is not part of CH so needs a Doctors opinion!
