SUNCT/CH Diary

Hi everyone, I have a questions so, sorry if I ramble on a bit.  I posted this on Facebook too but would appreciate feedback/advice from people no on FB

I also have a appointment on 21 Dec with mr Matharu at queens square.  I've been sent a big pack of questionnaires and info sheets etc and a migraine diary and it says I must fill it in every day and take it to the appointment.  It's not big enough or appropriate for CH or sunct.  I have phoned Mr Matharu secretary yesterday and asked if there is a ch/sunct type diary but she didn't know what I was talking about and kept saying there's just one headache diry.  She said she would sent that one out to me again, but I think it's going to be the same as I have already.  Does anyone have a template SUNCT daily diary?  And anyone have a CH diry which I could use or should I just use a normal diary?
Thank goodne
Thanks for reading and any advice wil be gravely appreciated
Tony

Quack Quack Quack!!!

Someone does read and remember  these posts you know!

There is a free phone app called Migraine Buddy. I discovered it a couple of days ago, so I cant vouch for its usefulness yet but I'mgiving it a go. (I personally wanted some easy way of trying to track if there was any correlation between my attacks and barometric pressure and this app does this).

Its quite simple to use- you just tap to answer about pain, intensity, where, when, medication, duration, triggers etc and when it has enough info it will allow you to print out graphs so you can see if patters emerge.( It claims to detect sleep patterns too). If you cant be bothered to answer at the time , it gives you that option too haha!*nea*

I havent got the most up-to-date phone,so it is abit slow in loading sometimes, but it does occasionally throw out kind and encouraging wordsif things have been going on a while-"hang on in there", "youre doing fine".

Well, it is an American idea! Biggrin

Thanks Miss KittyB, I will be looking at this, but SUNCT comes SO often that I have NEVER found anything that can count the number of attacks accurately. I used to do a five bar gate, then average out the intensity(7 - 10) and keep a rough note of what time of day the attacks came on and went. A pattern will soon emerge good enough for you to tell Dr Matharu.

I lost faith that anyone really looked at the things a long time ago and have completed hundreds of the things over 9 years. My file in QS is back breakingly large.... Its time for an App we can hit on our phone with a couple of taps that will track them. But who will be able when you have had a night of 10/10????  Sorry I am not my usual cheerful self but feeling really bummed out......*dash1*

So sorry there isn't a diary for SUNCT,, it is sometimes difficult enough to keep up a CH diary, with SUNCT I can't image what it is like.  This is just a suggestion off the top of my head, can you get one of those clicker things that stewards use at gates to count the number of people coming into a sports event or similar?  If you clicked everytime you had a sunct attack, by the end of the day you would have a cumulative total at least, which might help indicate what you are contending with???

I do think that Val may be officially a genius!

The migraine buddy is proving quite useful for cluster by the way.....
