Steroid Injections

Hi Has anyone tried Suboccipital steroid injections when all other preventatives have not been satisfactory? I maintain abortive treatments but have now been informed I should try the injection. I am really nervous having a needle through the back of the neck but if others have tried and found this beneficial perhaps I should go ahead. Appears we all have to juggle from time to time. Any information would be much appreciated.
