Hello,

Due to no treatment being effective for my cluster headaches I have been referred to London for the top expert in headaches. There has been talk of an operation and I was just wondering if anyone has been through this? Or if anyone know of any other med that the ones listed below I can try before the surgery?

gabapentin

Verapamil

Tropimate

Sumbtripimate (tablets. Nasal spray and injections)

Codine

Tramadol

Oxygen

Lithium

Optic nerve block

Steroids

Melatonin

Lidocaine patches

Zanopin

Diazapan

gammacore

Have you been able to try GammaCore?  It is an external device for Neurostimulation.  It is good news that you will be seeing a specialist in headache.

I am assuming the surgery you refer to is ONS (Occipital Nerve Stimulation).  I have ONS and it has changed my quality of life very much for the better!  Please fire away and ask any questions you have and I will do my best to answer them. Please be aware that most get a good result from this procedure but not everyone does!

Hi, I'm being seen by a specialist in headaches in London too. I found Gabapentin to be helpful, as well as Gammacore.
