hi val, im not able to run but will gladly help out on the day if i can? i will be glad to cheer you on hand out leaflets ect, will any of the ouch staff be running with you? all the best d
It was just a 'fishing' e-mail to see how many people are interested in taking part before we considered purchasing a group of places for the race. Sadly only one person, between the forum and Facebook was interested and then she had to withdraw her offer because of a prior commitment! So this looks like a no-go. Not complaining though, as for ten years from 2003 we had a group of places and Karen who organised it all brought in over £50,000 in sponsorship from the 10 races. I did it four times, but had to walk as I carried my portable 02. It's a great day, tens of thousands of runners and the crowds were fabulous. the route takes you past the London landmarks in central London starts in Piccadilly and ends on Whitehall. However, perhaps we have asked people too many times to sponsor us for the race and we need to think about new ways of raising money, particularly where anyone of any age and state of health can take part! But thanks for the offer Darren, if we have an outdoor event somewhere we'll take you up on your offer!
