Lithium toxicity

I posted something similar on faceache too.  Just want to ask if anyone has experienced lithium toxicity?

I went to my GP on 27/06 and struggled to explain what's been happening, that I had been stuttering, dizzy, feeling drunk, and had tremors in my hands for about a week he did a blood test.  He called me back later that day and told me my lithium level is 1.7.  Apparently the normal level is 1.0 and below!!  He said I've been suffering the effects of toxicity!  He instructed me to stop taking the lithium for 5 days and reduce my pregablin too as he thinks the combination of the lithium and pregablin are what caused the toxicity!

Anyway, having now stopped the lithium for 5 days, I'm getting more and more worried because my speech is stuttery at best.  I can't get more than 3 or 4 words out without really struggling.
im also having more severe CH's than usual.  (I have sunct and CH).  Currently my right eye and eyebrow feels like it's been hit by a cricket ball.

I have another appointment to see the GP again next week, (and another very supportive ouch member is coming with me to help in my fight for O2)

Meanwhile, can anyone who has suffered from toxicity or anyone who knows anything about it, please tell me how long the effects can last?

Thanks very much

Just wondering, is there anyone left still on this forum?  This is the second time I posted something on here and there's been no answers on the thread.

Hi Tony

It's looking very much like the forum is a dead horse!

There doesn't seem to be enough people using it to keep it afloat, too few just doesn't keep it active enough to be of value sadly.

Like some others, I have to stay away from Facebook myself, but hope you have found some good support on there.

That is very sad.  While I have found a lot of help and support on the Facebook group, I posted here as well because I know there's several people who can't/don't/won't use Facebook and I value everyone's help.
