Hi, and a big thank you.

Hi,

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks to Liz who spoke to my mum yesterday and helped us both through a tough day!

I moved to Guernsey in June, the quieter pace of life seemed to be doing me good, no attacks and even migraines has reduced, but unfortunately the beast came back last week and I didn't know where to start, After a couple of appointments, speaking to some really helpful people I think I'm nearly there.

This may sound really wet but if anyone has any tips or advice of how to cope on their own/in a new ish relationship with it please let me know, as it's the first time I've been through a episode without my parents here, and my fiancé's first experience of it and it is putting a bit of a strain on us.

Not very good at posting on forums so sorry if my post seems all over the place!

Jayy

hi welcome to the fourm, a good partner or supporter are as good or better than meds as thay wont wear off and will be there for you always, firstly be honest with your self and your partner, understand your bouts and cycles together, tell him a smile squeez of the hand helps, all attacks and bouts pass i know it dosent seem like if after 2 months solid bout but it will pass, help him understand ch isnt some thing you asked for or wanted, you cant control when or where it will strike, you will miss things that you like to do when in bout, but will make up for it when you can, both chers and partners have to come to terms with its a condition for life with no cure yet, but each and every cher still is that same person inside that wants to love laff and live life to the full, remember all couples have ups an downs in a relationship,  anything you or your partner want to know please just ask, theres a lot of chers bin and are going through the same ups and downs so we understand, life is good always its just not easy, d

Hi

I agree completely with Darren. Just keep open communication with your partner. Sounds so obvious but don't bottle things up, CH related or anything else. Take care L.
