Good Evening everyone,
It is with deep sadness that I write this post, and although I have now known for a few days the news still hasn't fully sunk in for me. Partly because Carolyn was on of those who caught me and taught me, when I was first diagnosed with Cluster Headache.
Carolyn Matheson, CH Advocate, CH speaker, helpline officer and friend, died suddenly last Tuesday. Her loving family are devastated by their loss and is is a sentiment that is similarly shared with the Board of Trustees who have felt numb with shock since Ian Matheson broke the news to us, we were seeking permission from the family to share the sad news with you all.
Carolyn was a huge character to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting with her or indeed interacting with her through forums or social media. Carolyn was a stalwart for awareness, most recently talking on National Radio for us after a great speech at the Cluster Headache Awareness Day in Westminster.
Carolyn's wishes was that any donations are made to OUCH UK.
