Currently Seeking Adult Patients Living with Episodic Cluster Headache for a Clinical Research Study

H. Lundbeck A/S is currently running a study investigating the possible preventive treatment of episodic Cluster
Headache. It targeted to patients between the ages of 18 and 75 which:
• Have a medical history of first symptoms of Cluster Headache at the age of 50 or prior
• Have a documented history of episodic Cluster Headache for at least 12 months
• Have a prior history of cluster period(s) lasting 6 weeks or longer, when untreated
• Can accurately distinguish between episodic Cluster Headache and other headaches
If you choose to participate, and the study is right for you, the study is between 25 and 77 weeks and will
depend on when you enter a bout.
The study is divided into a screening period (between 1 and 52 weeks) and a treatment period. The treatment
period starts with a placebo-controlled section where you will be randomised (shuffled) into an active or dummy
treatment. After 4 weeks, you will switch to the other group. Neither you nor the study doctor nor the study staff
will know which product you are receiving. This then is followed by a 20-week observational and follow up
period.
You will also be asked to keep a headache diary from when you enter a bout until the end of the study.
