Helen Tagaras and her team are raring to go and ready to run the first of two half marathons planned this year to raise money for OUCH. The team work in the North Wales Cardiac Centre at Glan Clwyd Hospital and Helen describes them as a very outdoorsy sort of bunch. Helen is a Radiographer at the centre. Her brother in law, Steve Reeves, is a chronic cluster headache sufferer; he and Helen’s sister Karen are familiar members of our facebook group.
The rest of the team are:
Hannah Jones - Senior Nurse. Hannah's husband is an episodic sufferer and goes through two cycles per year.
Joe Williams – Cardiac Physiologist. Has no personal connection to CH but happily joined the team to help raise funds.
Kat Brandrick – Senior Nurse. No personal link to the disease but is also happy to help raise funds.
The cause is something which is close to the hearts of Helen and Hannah with their personal connections in that they want to raise not only funds but more awareness of the disease. This they are already doing - working in a clinical setting within a large general hospital and spreading the word. Well, it captured the attention of their colleagues Joe and Kat!
The very best of luck and thank you to the Cardiac Team!
